Canon Personality:Claire really is your (mostly) typical seventeen year old girl. She likes popular music and tv shows, and she enjoys hanging out with her friends. She likes to play sports, and is especially involved in cheerleading. She gets crushes on boys, and at times seems to think her parents and the rest of the world are out to get her. She has a very flirtatious nature, and her generally friendly nature and the way she jokes around with sarcastic remarks often make her seem that she's flirting, when really she is just joking around. She is known for being a bit dramatic when upset, and has a nearly pathological need to be accepted and loved. A lot of the time, Claire can be seen as a brat. She wants what she wants and she wants it now, and isn't above sneaking around in order to obtain the things that she wants. She is dying to just fit in and be accepted among her peers, and even goes so far as to stop speaking to people who are nice to her, in order to make herself seem better and worthy of being accepted by the popular girls in school. But she can be incredibly brave and selfless at times; standing up for kids who get picked on at school or running into a burning house to save whoever is inside. But most of the time she gets scared or intimidated by things that can hurt her. Claire values her life to an extent, but generally sees it as being less valuable than other people's, because of the fact she thinks her gifts make her a freak of nature.

Claire is quick to give in to her emotions. When she's upset, she cries freely. When she's mad, she yells and makes a scene. When someone pisses her off, she gets even. When a boy at her old school tried to rape and then kill her, Claire got revenge by driving his car (with the boy inside) right into a brick wall going 60. At her new school, she got revenge on a terrible head cheerleader by using her ability to regenerate to make the cheerleader think she was dead. She's becoming much better at hiding her feelings about things, however, due to the fact she has to be so secretive in order to keep her family and herself safe. She's become quite the actress, and is able to wear different masks around different people. She's also become increasingly paranoid about her abilities being put to misuse, due to her father basically installing a paranoia within her. Despite the fact she regrets her father being so controlling, she knows that he really does mean well, deep down. Usually she tries to do what he says, but often finds it hard to "stay put" or "keep your abilities a secret". She's still just a teenager, despite her incredible gift, and likes to test the waters with her parents. She's become prone to lying to them, in order to do things she wants. She doesn't think about how the lies will effect things in the long term, and only wants satisfaction in the here and now. It's very hard for her to see things in the long run, since she's so busy attempting just to get through each individual day.

She is actively searching for her true identity. Who is she? Why does she have special gifts? Why does everyone around her have to suffer, simply because she has special healing gifts? She is desperate to find a place to "belong", and hasn't quite figured out what makes a person someone she can trust and what makes a person someone she can't. The biggest factor to Claire's personality, and the main motivator for her to do the sometimes crazy things that she does is she simply wants to belong. She wants to be normal and be loved, and to be told that she's loved and valued. After discovering that she was adopted, and her abilities manifesting in her teenage years, she is almost obsessed over fitting in and being wanted. It's not always enough for her to just feel accepted, she wants to feel as if she's wanted around as well.

As of recently, she's become obsessed with becoming strong. She wants to force herelf to grow up, and isn't going about the right way to do that. She constantly is running off and getting in over her head in hostile situations in which she needs to be rescued. She doesn't understand that the right way to go about becoming strong, and really lacks the proper guidance she needs in order to be well adjusted and safe from herself. She has become a lot more angry and slightly more sarcastic during the third season, due to the change in her ability, as well as the fact she feels she no longer can trust her father and the link she used to have with him has been greatly damaged.

Canon History: Claire's background is a shady thing for her, as of recently. She found out she was adopted less than a year ago, and more and more secrets seem to keep leaking their way out to her. Raised by Noah Bennet and his wife, Claire grew up believing that they were her birth parents, and her younger brother was her blood sibling. As it turns out, she was adopted as a toddler by Noah, given to him for protection by a group simply known as The Company. Ever since finding out she was adopted, and meeting her biological father, Nathan Petrelli, Claire has been on a search for her "identity".

It just so happens that a not so great part of her identity happens to be the gift of cellular regeneration. Born with the ability, Claire has always been able to heal from anything. Knife through the leg? The wound would heal rapidly. Die in a car crash? She'd come back to life in the city morgue. Cut off a toe? It's grow back in a matter of seconds. It was when she was a sophomore in high school that Claire discovered this ability, after getting in a bad accident which should have required stitches. Instead, she healed rapidly, and from that point on, went out on a quest to hurt herself as much as possible to find out what was up with her body. She would make a daily habit of leaping off the city's highest points, with her friend video recording. She would do whatever it took to get hurt, only to be dismayed that she couldn't stay hurt. A lot of the times, she wouldn't even feel things happening to her. She got hurt, of course, just not on the same level as everyone else. Cutting off her toes is the same to her as someone else getting a slight cut. Her body doesn't go into shock like everyone else's, and it is because of that that she is able to just get up and walk away from any accident. Even death. At first, her body took nearly twelve hours to recooperate after death. Now that she's used her ability more frequently, Claire is able to come back to life in a matter of seconds. Claire can die and get hurt, but it takes a hell of a lot to bring her down.

It was her abilities that got her sucked up into a terrible mess. She was wanted, by a man named Sylar. He wanted her abilities, and had every plan of killing her in order to obtain them. Luckily for her, several individuals had predicted she was in danger, and had come from all across the globe in order to protect her. This was how she met her biological uncle, Peter Petrelli. In only a matter of weeks, she was swept up in an adventue that consisted of her watching her father being shot and going off with a man simply known as The Hiatian, figuring out her birth father is kind of a political asshole who cares most about his own welfare, and being hunted down by various not so good groups. She was swept up in the world saving adventure of others, and watched as others fought Sylar. She watched as her biological father and uncle sacrificed themselves to save the world from Sylar, and was upset by their loss. Even if they all hadn't been close, they were still blood related.

She eventually returned to life as normal as possible, back with her adopted family, but wasn't able to return to her home in Odessa, Texas. Her father became increasingly paranoid about The Company finding Claire, and so they moved away to California and assumed new identities. Claire was told to not be special, to not stand out. It killed her, being simply ordinary, and not being allowed to do anything. It was over a period of time that she became friends with a boy her age named West, and when it was revealed to her that he had abilities as well, she fell head over heels for him. In no time at all, they were in a relationship, one that rivaled her affection for her father. It would come to be Claire's biggest regret, getting into fights with her father over her relationship. Her lies and actions ended up with her family being found by The Company once again, and it was as her father fought to keep her safe and protected that he was shot and killed by someone Claire had thought to trust.

She is coming in post season two, but before any of the events in episode one of season three really begin. The last thing she'll remember is seeing Nathan being shot on television, and then looking for her cell phone so she could call Peter.

RP History (Detailed description of significant events/altercations that happened in previous RP, and this includes friends/close companions/enemies made and alterations to their personalities from growth and experiences): A lot happened to Claire during her time in Purgatory. She was there for several different rounds of fun, although this version of Claire will be coming from her first visit. She arrived shortly after her father was shot, and she had no idea if he was alive or dead. She quickly met a lot of people and made a lot of friends, and moved in with another man from her world, Adam Monroe. Adam eventually becomes a father figure to her, and she loves him very dearly. Shortly after arriving, she also met a young man named Andrew Wells, who would later become her first actual boyfriend. She also met a man named Sweeney Todd not all that long after arriving, and he also became a father figure, one who reminded her so much of her father back home due to his protective nature. Sweeney gave her a job at Lucifer's restaurant, where she unknowingly served human meat as food, an issue that came back to haunt her months down the road. While working at Lucifer's, she also met a man named Grimmjow, who would later become a crush figure and he would eventually adopt her as a daughter figure. He'd also become her bodyguard, and teach her more about how to become strong and defend herself.

Over her course in time in Purgatory, she met A LOT of people. She interacted with literally hundreds of others who came and went, and I honestly can't remember them all. But the ones that stand out in my mind are Logan, Sasori, King, Near, Bast, Elena, Zack, Schuldig, Jean Grey, Sylar (he was enemy and sometimes ally), Elle Bishop (always was her enemy), Gemma Doyle (became her best friend), Cloud, and Wesker (she wasn't very fond of him once he threatened to kill her and her manarmy).

She went through a LOT during her first run in Purg, ranging from being turned into a rabbit by Bast to having her first real boyfriend and romantic relationship, to helping Logan with the Jenova virus. She learned to grow up just a little bit, and also learned a lot about surviving on her own. She was attacked by monsters frequently, kidnapped just about as often, and always was nice and reckless and getting into trouble. But the biggest development for Claire was how she learned to work better with people. She was a little thing with a lot of attitude and issues when she first arrived, but she eventually learned how to adapt to meeting all kinds of people and was even able to put aside her usual dislike for other females to make some close friends that were the same gender.
